[NEWS] Daesung's debut drama 'What's Up' will be aired on 21st March! (110215)

'What's Up' is a drama which has the scene set in the campus of Chungkang College of Cultural Industries. 'BIGBANG's Daesung (Real name: Kang Daesung) has successfully transmitted himself into a musical actor with his dazzling singing and dancing skills!'

Daesung starred in this campus drama (script by songjina and directed by songiwon) which will be aired in March. Now, they are putting the final touches to the shooting. 'What's Up' started shooting in July last year and set in the scene in the campus of Chungkang College of Cultural Industries,Incheon. Now, the drama is at the 90 % stage of completion.

Chungkang College of Cultural Industries (Principal, Kim Yonghwan, website. www.ck.ac.kr) collaborated with Zero Plus, the drama company to produce the drama The college has lent out their classrooms of the drama department, the theatres and dormintories for filmming the drama. And the year 2 students of the music department have also taken part in the major musical scenes in the drama in order to raise the quality and the feeling of reality of the musical.

Professor Jinjonghyun is in charge for the musical and vocal training for 1 year since the cast has to take vacal training in order to film the drama. The professor himself has also appeared in a teaching scene in the drama in which he played a very convincing part.

'What's Up' has been filmmed in Music Auditing Department the College of Cultural Industries since it is the actual background of the drama. The story is about how the 20-something- year-old students whose have dreams of becoming a star trying to pursue their dreams with passion. There will be love plots too. This is the second campus drama written by Songjina after 'KAIST' This will be the debut musical of Daesung and we can have high expectation on him.

aired on 21st March in SBS after the run of Paradise Ranch with a timeslot of 9:00 pm!
