GD living in fear?! T.O.P’s hairstyle is strange?! What is the concept for the new album?
GD : Movies have a lot of genres like comedy, horror, mystery, etc. Album is also the same like movies. I devoted a lot of effort into writing lyrics that are narrative. Once you see the lyrics, even without music, people will also think of it as an essay. I hope my song is presented with a clear plotline like a story being told. Compared to love songs, I hope to write a song that leaves deep impression to the fans.
T.O.P : I am a person who think a lot. Therefore, I am careful in doing anything. Sometimes I would think in my heart, what do the fans really want from me? What should I do? I hope we can raise the spirit of those fans who are weak spirited.
What are the difficulties that you faced when producing the new album?
T.O.P : During the collaboration with GD, both of us have already decided to write lyrics that belong to us. Many people placed high expectations on us and all this while, we are also thrown with a lot of criticisms. Because of that, both of us hope to convey our feelings through the songs. Perhaps people think that we are trying to brag but actually I really hope to write songs that are difficult to resist.
What are the things that have made you sad?
GD : When I released my solo album, a lot of people threw criticisms at me. At that time, I was very sad. Everyday I live in fear because I dare not face new criticisms. Besides experiencing emotional pressure, I also experienced painful mental stress.
What is the image concept for the new album?
T.O.P : This album belongs to me and GD! Both of us have our own personalities, so we have filled this album with special feature songs. Through this album, we are able to show every style of the songs clearly. In short, we want to show our own personalities through this album. Therefore, we have created special hairstyles. Lately, I keep feeling weird about the style of our songs and our image. To tell the truth, my hairstyle is a bit strange right? Haha…
What would you do during your free time?
GD : Emm…During the year after my solo, I think a lot and make preparations for future works. Before this, I keep getting busy with work. This time, I have the opportunity to make judgment and adequate preparation.
What are your ideal type of girl?
GD : Previously, I like girls who are caring. But now, I like girls that make me feel comfortable with her at the first meeting. I like girls who are innocent/naive and also enthusiastic towards her career.
T.O.P : I like girls who can understand me and tolerate my weakness.
Are you effected by the bad gossips last year?
GD : More or less! Since the bad gossips spread, I became more careful in anything I do. Perhaps because of that, I feel lonelier. But through this incident, I became more aware of myself and am able to perform more naturally on stage. Through the album this time, I can also show 100% of my real self.
