Finally, gloriously, it was time for Big Bang. There was this amazing video they played to introduce Big Bang and it had a rock feel to it with all the electric guitars playing. Oh, I should mention that LUSH was promoting their GORILLA PERFUME line which has such scents as “Breath of God” “Tucca Tucca” “Changing of the Seasons” and “Lust.” Each performer corresponded to a scent. Big Bang was, fittingly, LUST
A short staircase had been made so the boys came up from underneath the top of the steps and walked down like, as my friend Melissa said, angels from heaven.
The Set List:
1) Tonight
2) Somebody to Love
3) Last Farewell
4) Lies
5) Love Song
That’s right. All that waiting and all that work for like a 20 minute set. BUT it was still worth it. Of course it was worth it. When Big Bang came on there was the surge from the crowd and we got shoved waay closer. Cameras were allowed which was awesome but that just meant everyone and their mother was trying to record something. Combine that with the push of the crowd and pretty much I couldn’t see what was happening on the other side of the stage. I could barely see what was happening on MY side of the stage.
GD was in much better spirits today. He looked amazing too. His swagger was just radiating off of him in waves and there’s just something about GD in real life motion that is utterly captivating. He worked the stage from left to right, did a lot of adlibs, and sweated like a dog in heat. But even the drops of sweat that fell from his face looked just a tab bit more special because it was produced from him.
Taeyang continued to be the swan queen. He twirled three times in a row right in front of my face and I was both extremely humored and amazed. Boy was sporting some scruff on his upper lip. And a HAT, tilted JUST so, and like GD he did a lot of adlibs. It was similar to what he did at the end of Love Song for their farewell stage on MCD this week. I have a great fancam of it–but it’s processing so wait for it.
Daesung. Oh Daesung. During Big Bang’s talk, since Big Bang had LUST, Ri said something about “Sexy” and Daesung started to like fan his shirt out—ALMOST revealing his chiseled abs, but not quite lol. There was one part where he came to our side & everyone cheered for him & his face lit up in that beautiful smile of his. Also, I was standing next to a Daesung stan & it was funny how crazy she went.
Seungri was fan service king as usual. Since we were all crammed up against each other & not sitting in chairs like in angel price, it was really special that he would take the time to come close to the fans. I think Ri came to our side the most. During his part in one of the songs, I wish I could remember which, he did the same thing he did at angel price–that is, he just held his arms out wide & let the audience cheer for him, lol.
TOP. My love. He was wearing this hat, and when he first came out he had it all sideways/backwards, but then he would fix it so that sometimes it would be properly on his head, but then other times it was back to being sideways. I think it depended on the song’s feeling haha. He was wearing his sunglasses the whole time and either he was really tired or just frustrated with the sound problems because he kind of seemed drained.
Production. Big Bang had so much pyro and smoke streams it was crazy. The firecracker pellet things kept falling on our heads, the smoke made us cough and stung our eyes. And they horrible for pictures & fancams, might I add. Oh, and there was even confetti strips that shot out into the audience for the end of LS.
Oh & I love when BB performs LIES because of the FANCHANTs. I can’t believe I get to fanchant to LIES, in person. Amazing. However…I think there were some mic/sound problems. They had their introduction talking part I believe after Last Farewell, and towards the end of it Taeyang like ran off stage to talk to a set person. During another part of a song I saw him single to turn the volume up.
And my favorite part of the concert. It may be minute & trivial, but right after Lies the boys, collectively went off stage together. It wasn’t something planned & it wasn’t like they signaled to each other, but there were clear sound problems and I think GDYB went off first then Ri & finally ToDae. But the reason why this was my favorite part of the concert, was that I got to see their wordless communication in person. They all followed suit & knew exactly what was going on, but didn’t need to speak to each other to be on the same page. It was witnessing their bond, how they work together as a group, and their professionalism all in one go.
This sound problem caused TOP to be late for the beginning of LS & it was a deja vu moment for the dancers bc they didn’t know what to do since TOP wasn’t even on stage yet when LS began playing.
Like I said, they only performed for 20 minutes & their set sort of seemed rushed. I think it might of had to do with the fact that SOME performers prior to them took too much time. Fans were screaming for an encore, but we didn’t get one, sadly. The boys went song after song without any time to breathe, and basically ran off the stage really quickly at the end.
