Big Bang’s T.O.P revealed the circumstances of how his collaboration with Gummy for "I Am a Singer" came to be.

T.O.P appeared on the December 11th broadcast of MBC's "I Am a Singer," in support of fellow YG artist and senior, Gummy. In this "Sanulrim Special," T.O.P joined Gummy on stage as the featuring rapper in her 2nd challenge performance of "Rascal."

T.O.P explained that he felt bad seeing that Gummy was in 7th place, and decided to participate so that he could help.
To this, Gummy explained, "T.O.P and I fit each other musically. The lyrics for the rap portion of the 'Rascal' stage were written by T.O.P himself." Check his rap part at 4:20

Gummy performed "Rascal" before Kim Changwan, the vocalist of Sanulrim, starting with a fantasy-like atmosphere then switching to a lighthearted rhythm, adding cuteness to the song. Kim Changwan praised her for the performance, saying that she managed to understand the original song perfectly, and that there was even more of a feeling of freedom as compared to the original song.
