- Exclusive Video: G-Dragon wins Fuse TV's 'Best New Artist' Poll
After narrowing down 72 artists in Round 1 to just 12 acts battling in Round 2, we asked fans to pick the ultimate Best New Artist in a Final 3 showdown—and the results are in!
In Round 3, G-DRAGON of South Korean group Big Bang beat out R&B singer K. Michelle and Texan songstress Danielle Bradbery to become your Fuse Favorite: Best New Artist! After narrowly edging out Mexican pop star Belinda in the first round, the rapper destroyed his second round competition to earn a coveted spot in the final three.
G-Dragon, who rose to fame as the leader of hip hop group Big Bang, released his debut solo album Heartbreaker during the band's hiatus in 2009. Three years later, he dropped a seven-track EP titled One of a Kind that further confirmed his status as a solo star. Often referred to as simply "GD" by his fans, the rapper also makes headlines for his eyebrow-raising fashion choices.
GD recently dropped a banger with Missy Elliot that's featured on his sophomore LP Coup D'Etat, released September 13. In addition to the Missy collab, the album features production by Diplo, Baauer and Boys Noize.
Stay tuned for an exclusive Fuse News feature on G-Dragon.
