[OSEN=임영진 기자] BIGBANG’s G-DRAGON and TAEYANG joined in on YG Entertainment’s survival program ‘WHO IS NEXT: WIN’ to ignite the battle between Teams A and B.
In the preview clip revealed on Sept 14, TAEYANG and G-DRAGON drew attention by becoming producers for Team A (Kang Seung Yoon, Lee Seung Hoon, Song Min Ho, Kim Jin Woo and Nam Tae Hyun) and Team B (B.I., Koo Joon Hoe, Kim Jin Hwan, Bobby, Song Yoon Hyung and Kim Dong Hyuk) respectively.
The significant roles of the two mentors were revealed on ‘WIN’, aired on Sept 20. G-DRAGON was captured hinting a fierce battle, “I never beat TAEYANG in any battles when we were still training. TAEYANG has always been this wall that I could not climb over. I have to win this time.”
TAEYANG, after watching Team A perform, commented, “It’s not bad but it’s not good either,” while G-DRAGON told Team B, “You need to know what you really want to show the audience. I am afraid that your weaknesses will be shown on stage.” The two unleashed their full charisma as professional judges for the young trainees.
‘WIN’ is a real survival program that divides YG’s 11 trainees into Teams A and B for an extremely fierce battle. For 10 weeks, the two teams will be put in 3 battles, and the winning team will be making a debut straight away as a boy group under the name ‘WINNER’. This will be YG’s first boy group in 8 years.
