Big Bang’s Daesung was involved in a car accident and is currently under investigation. On the 31st, at around 1:40am in Seoul, Big Bang’s Daesung was driving in an Audi and hit a motorcyclist in front of him. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Daesung is currently under investigation at the Youngdong Police station for possible drunk driving. On May 31st at approximately 1:40am on the south side of the Yanghwa Bridge in Seoul, it was reported that Daesung crashed into a taxi and an anonymous motorcyclist that was already passed out on the street.

While the taxi driver stopped his car to help the motorcyclist, who was hit by a previous hit-and-run accident, Daesung crashed into the stopped taxi, killing the motorcyclist. After the accident, police arrived and gave Daesung an alcohol test. It was revealed that Daesung was not under the influence of alcohol. He is now at the police station for further investigations.

An official police statement has been released regarding Big Bang’s Daesung’s car accident. According to the Seoul YoungDeung Po Police Station, “On the morning of May 31st at Yanghwa Bridge, Daesung crashed into an already-passed-out motorcyclist with his car. It was identified that he crashed into a motorcyclist who was passed out from a previous accident. We will be able to give a clear confirmation after the investigation is over.”

Up until now, it was reported that the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. However, the police stated, “He has been admitted to the hospital and his death has not yet been confirmed.” He added, “Currently, we are investigating whether alcohol was involved.”

Although earlier reports stated that Daesung was not under the influence, this most recent official statement from the Police, states otherwise.
