Korean boy band Big Bang member T.O.P has said that his stage name was originally supposed to be Mark.
The singer, whose real name is Choi Seung-hyun, spoke about the origin of his name when the emcees of SBS' variety program "Night After Night" mischievously asked him if he was trying to act cool at the beginning of his singing career by having himself named as T.O.P.

GDTOP’s third title track, “Knock Out“, has been banned from all three public broadcasting networks. KBS, MBC, and SBS stated that the reason for the ban was because the title and lyrics used slang, which they believed would damage the national psyche. The song itself has been popular on music charts, and news of the song’s ban quickly became a controversy amongst fans and netizens alike. The majority are of the belief that the ban is “ridiculous and out of line.”

After their appearance in the first TV programme, the united group formed by the members of Bigbang G-Dragon & TOP continued to rank number 1 in various music charts in the new year.
G-Dragon & TOP won the mutizen award on 30th of December. Originally, they were to launch the 'tripe title songs' strategy, according to Yang Hyun Suk, the president of YGE, but now they are going to have 5. The promotion of the first batch of the title songs, 'High High', 'Oh Yeah' and 'Knock out' will last until mid January, then it will be followed by the second batch which are ' don't go home' and 'baby good night'. They try to promote in two periods like this because it is more suitable to the time and season.

So that’s why they were taking so long to come out and shoot [talking about the previously posted article]. I just got home from the Mcountdown recording and my god was it long. Most people were there since the morning and it only ended at 10:30 pm -__- The stage was pretty big and it did look expensive (for mnet that is lol). I was front row and I got to touch TOP and Bom’s hands and GD’s face was like a foot away from mine)^^
