KBS’s “Music Bank” has been suffering due to the massive amounts of criticisms the music show is receiving. The community board for Music Bank’s official site is being flooded with criticisms regarding its ‘unfair’ calculation of the first place winners, as well as cutting songs too short and allowing lip synching for certain singers.

Big Bang’s agency, YG entertainment, was criticized last year because their artists were not seen on ‘Music Bank’s end of the year performances, nor did they attend KBS’s Gayo Festival because of issues they had with KBS. Because of this a lot of interest has been forming regarding what move Big Bang plans to take with their comeback.

On the situation, YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk expressed, “If possible, I want [Big Bang] to appear on [Music Bank]. It’s not right to have popular singers not appearing on a broadcast due to one reason or another but everything must be managed equally. The broadcasting company claimed that YG requested to have ’special treatment’, but it’s untrue , I’ve never done that. We will continue to communicate with the broadcasting company.”

Much debate has been taking place over the past few weeks regarding Big Bang’s appearance on KBS’s “Music Bank,” and although the producer for the show was open to giving Big Bang a comeback stage, recent updates have shown that it isn’t looking good for both parties.
According to information revealed by one broadcast representative, producers of ‘Music Bank’ were reported to have responded negatively to YG Entertainment’s appearance offer. While they previously offered Big Bang a two-track comeback stage, producers were revealed to have changed their stance to one that gave the impression of “If you agree to sing one track, then you can come.”

It seems fans have been unable to see YG Entertainment artists performing on KBS’s Music Bank for some time now due to the label declaring a non-attendance to the public broadcast network’s 2010 KBS Music Festival.
A representative of the music industry spoke with Star News on January 27th and revealed, “Despite GDTOP and Seungri being well into their promotion cycles, YG Entertainment artists have not once made an appearance on KBS’s Music Bank since restarting their activities.”
He continued, “GDTOP and Seungri make weekly appearances on MBC’s Music Core and SBS’s Inkigayo, and for a longer period, it seems that YG representatives won’t be sending their artists to appear on Music Bank, which goes the same for Big Bang’s comeback next month.”
