G-Dragon's new single is to be restricted to over-18s, according to YG Entertainment's blog Wednesday.
YG officials renewed G-Dragon's comeback poster this morning, which notes his new single titled "Ge XX" in Romanized Korean will be banned for teenagers.
The decision came before the firm submitted their ratings request to Korea Media Rating Board and the officials said in a statement that they will voluntarily ask all online music distributors to flag G-Dragon's September 1 release for 19+ viewers only.
"Ge XX" is the singer's solo release in three years after the first full-length solo album "Heartbreaker" dropped in 2009. G-Dragon's new solo activities has already been hinted as the he posted the music video for "ONE OF A KIND," which can been viewed as a prelude to his new single, on Saturday.
With G-Dragon's straightforward lyrics, the clip has been watched by around 6.5 million viewers in just four days of its release.
G-Dragon is the first member in the group to pursue singing activities as a solo artist this year. All members have released solo albums to date and the group's latest record is June 3 release "STILL ALIVE," the special edition of the fifth mini-album "ALIVE". Previously he tweeted:~
