Some of the K-pop’s dearest idols T.O.P of Big Bang, Taecyeon of 2PM and Lee Joon of MBLAQ will heat up Korea’s biggest film festival this weekend.
The three top idol stars have confirmed to participate in the opening ceremony of the 18th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), which will open at the Busan Cinema Center in the city of Busan on Thursday night, promoters of their upcoming movies confirmed on Tuesday.
T.O.P will bring his third original movie “Commitment” along with his on-screen younger sister Kim You-jung of hit MBC series “Moon Embracing the Sun,” set to join three festival events to connect with film fans on Friday.
Taecyeon will also introduce his debut movie “Marriage Blue” alongside popular actress Lee Yeon-hee, whose latest TV work is “Kang Chi, the Beginning,” participating in two festival events for festivalgoers this Friday.
Lee Joon has confirmed his participation in the festival earlier as his upcoming movie “Rough Play” had been invited to the Korean Cinema Today category of BIFF this year. He will also join the Friday festival event to be held near Haeundae Beach.
In the meantime, Junho of 2PM will also join the festival events with his successful screen debut pic “Cold Eyes” along with co-stars Jung Woo-sung and Han Hyo-joo. Junho will join the two events in BIFF, each on Saturday and Sunday.
